It is useful to look at the structure of the May 2009 NAPLAN Tests. I will do this over the next few days. There was considerable overlap between the the questions asked on the Numeracy Tests for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. For example, there were 35 questions on the Year 3 Test. 10 of these questions were also in the Year 5 Test.
